The Network Score is based on three main factors: Throughput, Call Quality, and Bandwidth Speed. It uses data from these areas to give an easy-to-understand metric that shows how well a network can handle voice communications. This score compares your data against best practices, industry standards, and a large dataset of global test results.
What is Network score?
The Network Score provides a simple score that shows how effectively your device and network can manage voice communications. This score helps everyday users, not just IT managers, quickly understand their network's readiness without needing deep knowledge of complex VoIP metrics like MoS, throughput, jitter, or packet loss.
Results Explained
- Clear and Simple Score: Reflects how well your device and network handle voice communications.
- Improvement Suggestions: Based on your score, you will get suggestions on how to improve it if needed.
- In-Depth Articles: Each suggestion links to detailed articles to help you improve your score.
Data we collect to generate a score
The score is generated using data from the Throughput, Call Quality, and Bandwidth Speed widgets, including:
- Concurrent Connections: Total concurrent connections detected during the test.
- Average Bandwidth: Average bandwidth during the test.
- Highest Bandwidth: Maximum bandwidth during the test.
- Lowest Bandwidth: Minimum bandwidth during the test.
- Average Packet Loss: Average percentage of packet loss during the test.
- Average RTT: Average round-trip time for a packet.
- Download Speed: Speed at which data is sent from the server to the client.
- Jitter: Percentage of jitter during the test.
- Upload Speed: Speed at which data is sent from the client to the server.
- MoS: Mean opinion score calculated during the test.
- Maximum Throughput: Maximum throughput measured during the test.
- Minimum Throughput: Minimum throughput measured during the test.
