Follow these steps if your Tyto device becomes unresponsive or "freezes" during or after the power-on sequence.
Symptom
The Tyto Device screen is frozen or stuck on a specific image immediately after powering on. The touch screen and physical buttons do not respond to normal navigation.
Possible Cause
Occasionally, the internal software running on the Tyto device may encounter an error during startup, causing the system to "hang" or become unresponsive.
Suggested Solution: Manual Hard Reset
Perform a hard power cycle to force the software to restart:
1. Force Shutdown
Press and hold the power button (located on the side of the device) for 10 to 15 seconds. Release only when the screen goes black.
2. Normal Restart
Wait about 5 seconds, then give the power button a short press to turn the device back on as usual.
