TytoPro requires a tablet or smart phone, Wi-Fi and an internet connection. Reviewing captured exam data is easy via a Clinician Dashboard running on a standard browser.

📍 Point-of-Care (POC) Users

Who they are:

A nurse or medical assistant on-site helping a patient perform the examination.

What they use:

  • Tyto Device: Handheld hardware (Linux OS) used to collect clinical data like heart/lung sounds and images.
  • TytoCare App: Mobile interface on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device used to guide the nurse through the exam.

Primary Actions:

  • Initiate live "synchronous" online visits with a remote doctor.
  • Capture and upload "Store-and-Forward" (asynchronous) data for later clinician review.

🩺 Provider / Clinician Users

Who they are:

Remote Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, or Specialists.

What they use:

  • Clinician Dashboard: Secure browser-based station (HTML5) using Google Chrome on a Windows or macOS computer.

Primary Actions:

  • Conduct live exams via high-definition WebRTC video and audio streaming.
  • Review submitted exam history and provide diagnoses asynchronously.

Technical & Wireless Requirements

  • Device Compatibility: iOS (iPhone/iPad) or Android smartphones and tablets.
  • Wireless Frequency:
    • Tyto G1: Supports 2.4 GHz band only.
    • Tyto G2: Supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
  • Pairing: The network must support ICMP protocol to allow the App and Device to communicate via a QR code.
  • Bluetooth: Only required for optional add-ons like a Blood Pressure cuff or SpO2 sensor.
  • Browser: Google Chrome is required for the Clinician Dashboard to support WebRTC natively.

Data Security: The POC user captures data, which is immediately encrypted (AES 256-bit) and uploaded to the Tyto Cloud Server. Once confirmed, data is erased locally from the App and Device. The Clinician Dashboard never stores data locally.
